I am Sara Chéu, welcome to my studio!

Chéu is a handmade brand focused on collars.

Creations are mostly inspired by the aesthetics of early 70s vintage shirts. The brand atmosphere ranges from the French New Wave visual style to Wes Anderson’s work. It combines tales, movies, my memories, and imagination.

The artisanal pieces are made with distinctive details and produced in small batches. I design and sew, and each piece is one of a kind. Brooches are vintage and handpicked, while fabrics are deadstock, vintage, or retrieved from the ones who left them gathering dust in their homes.

Chéu is a way to give the sweet eccentricity your look needs, transforming your shirt, jumper, or dress in the blink of an eye!

Chéu is for a peculiar niche, spontaneous, elegant, genuine, and dreamy.

I was born in sunny Lisbon currently based in Brussels. 

I have a diverse path with a background in dance and performance art, and I have been lately more dedicated to costume design. My artistic studies were in dance, in costume design, and I also have a master's degree in performing arts. 

Living surrounded by dance and theater since an early age, the shootings of my brand are now an opportunity to set my shows, to tell other stories!
